Orientation Day 1

After making the tough decision of joining the law school in hand, I felt excited and at the same time a bit nervous about the next day.

I started off early in the morning to reach the place on time.

The moment I entered the main gate of the institution, I was filled with energy, the feeling cannot be easily explained. I suddenly felt empowered, surrounded by noble thoughts, ideas, immediately started planning upon the course of action for the next 5 years.

A small reminder, I have just entered the main gate of the institute. By the time I had reached the moot court hall, the feelings got even more intense and I started looking forwards to turn the ideas and thoughts into reality.

I knew what I wanted to do, but I still had to explore the route to heaven.

The orientation program kicked off with a note from our esteemed Director. Gradually I sailed above the seas of nervousness and reached ashore the little island called "Confidence". I had laid down the first brick  in the foundation of my career.

We were briefed about the various cells, groups and committees where students can actively participate. Thoughts were scooting all around me, I was having a good time. The most exciting of the various groups were Mooting Society and Research Cell.

In the starting the program felt very exciting, but all the people are same when it comes to enjoyment, we are all like 5 year old boy, who plays with a toy and enjoys it thoroughly, and over a period of time gets bored.

The excitement slowly started to fade but the serious ones were holding on against the tides. All the students wanted a break, then came the guardian angel once again and gave us a break.

The students got to know each other, well most did and some did not.

After the break we noticed a new seating plan, now the people who did not know anyone except themselves in the 1st half, pretty much brought down the hall in the second half, chatting away as if they have known each other for years. The program started and we enjoyed, not because we had exceptional speakers or something like that but because we were having our own lectures.

The day came to an end and was followed by a welcome lunch, I cannot really explain what took place there because I had other plans, but I suppose the people made more friends, many more friends.

to be continued..
